PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for an ion source to stop operating at a replacing time, by a method wherein a solvent removing valve is constituted such that an exhaust system is connected to a carrier gas remover at a time when a flow path between gas chromatograph column and the carrier gas remover is shut down. CONSTITUTION:In an analizing device, when valves A12 and C14 are closed and a valve B13 is opened, a solvent removing valve 6, simultaneosuly, is switched to a state shown in a drawing. With this, carrier gas enters through an exhaust port of an outer cylinder 15 for the solvent removing valve to enter a separator (7) side. Thereby, a distance of current carier gas is kept at the same amount as that which flows in from a column 4 at a measuring time, and this causes an ion source 9 to be brought to the same condition as that at a measuring time. Then, air is prevented from flowing into a system, which results in enabling the ion source 9 to be brought to an operating condition, and this permits to perform a prompt measurement and improves an analysis processing efficiency. |
