RECORDING AND REPRODUCING METHOD OF COLOR SIGNAL

PURPOSE:To compensate the deterioration of vertical picture resolution when a feedback type comb filter is used for the reproduction, by recording in emphasizing an area having no vertical correlation of a color signal having a low conversion frequency containing a phase components for elimination of crosstalk. CONSTITUTION:For an input video signal, the color signal is converted into a low frequency by a frequency converter 26 via a BPF23 and an ACC24. Then this video signal is supplied to an LPF27. The output of a delaying circuit 44 and the output of the LPF27 are supplied to a subtractor 45 and an adder 46 respectively. A switch 47 switches the output of the substractor 45 and the output of the adder 46 when the cylinder rotation phase pulse is positive and negative respectively to form a Y type comb filter. Furthermore the output of the LPF27 is added by an adder 50 to compensate the vertical image resolution, and the Y/C synthesization is carried out by an adder 22 and via a peak compressing circuit 25. As a result, the deterioration of the vertical picture resolution is compensated when a feedback C type comb filter is used in the reproduction mode.
