PURPOSE:To form the shape of the ink inlet side of a nozzle in the form of a cone and reduce the length of the nozzle straight portion of the nozzle without accumulating process distortion by such a method that a piece of insulation member in the form of a cone is connected to a core wire portion, and after a metal is electrodeposited around the core wire, the insulation member is removed and then the core wire is removed by a chemical. CONSTITUTION:An electroformed rod 3 is formed by causing a metal 2 such as Ni to electrodeposit around a core wire material 1 of which outer diameter corresponds to the outer diameter of a desired nozzle. A nozzle base material 4 is made by cutting the electroformed rod 3 into a piece of which thickness, for instance, is 0.2mm. and then forming the outline of a core cross section by polishing it until its thickness becomes 0.1mm.. Then a piece of insulation material 5 in the form of a cup, a circular cone or a square cone is kept upright and connected to the core portion and it is plated with the same metal as that of the nozzle base material such as Ni, etc. up to a thickness larger by about 0.2mm. than the depth of a desired cup, circular cone or square cone. Next, the material 5 is removed and the shape of the ink inlet side is shaped into the form of a cone by performing both-side grinding and outer circumference cutting, performing both-side grinding until a desired nozzle length is obtained, polishing only the ink outlet side and then removeing the core wire material 1 with a chemical. |
