PURPOSE:To detect an idling state of a controller in a short time with simple constitution, by providing an idle inhibiting continuity latch and an idle inhibiting latch to the controller. CONSTITUTION:When a write command is given from a central processor 1, a channel processing section 12 receives it and an idling inhibiting latch 16 is set, data from the central processor 1, is fetched and written in an RAM in a configuration controlling section 7. When data fetching is finished, the data stored in the RAM is outputted to a printer 4. The normal completion of data fetching is reported to the central processor 1 simultaneously and an idle inhibition continuity latch 15 is also set. When the print of a printer 4 is finished, this is detected at a terminal controlling section 6 and latches 15 and 16 are reset. A detaching signal 21 is outputted from the section 7 with this state and the central processor 1 and a control device 2 are logically detached. |
