PURPOSE:To make the ingot width changing possible during casting by disposing the driving devices to the respective split wheels which are split in the circumferential direction of the rolling wheels of a casting machine and holding said devices so as to be able to move respectively independently in parallel with the wheel center direction. CONSTITUTION:The circulation belts 2, 3 face each other at a spacing S and are regulated of the both surfaces in the thickness direction of an ingot in order to hold and move the molten metal 5 from a tundish 1 and to cool the same with the devices 6, 7 and further with 8, 9 to an ingot 5'. Part of the rolling wheels 4, 4' fit in the spacing S watertightly, and the ingot width is determined by the distance between the same. Here, the split wheels 12, 12', 13, 13' of the wheels 4, 4' are moved respectively independently by cylinders 14-17, and therefore the changing of the ingot width is possible, but it is necessary that these are rotated synchronously with the belts 2, 3 and that the whole part rolls integrally in the rotation. Thereupon, the sliding cylinders 12a-13'a projected to the side opposite from these width regulating ends are splined to the shaft cylinders 18, 19, and the cylinders 14-19 are mounted in the cylinders 18, 19.
