Heat store for hot or warm water as a heat exchange medium, which is heated up, in particular, by a heat pump or solar collectors, and which thereafter serves as service water or heating water for underfloor heating, characterised in that apart from the water there is an additional material as heat storage medium, which within the temperature range of interest here from approximately 30 to 50 DEG C undergoes upon heating a conversion from a solid to a liquid aggregate state, and the additional heat storage medium being filled in containers which are stacked inside a storage boiler known per se for hot or warm water and having an insulated wall, the containers preferably being spheres having a plastic wall and sodium hydrogen phosphate or similar serving as the additional material. <IMAGE>
