PURPOSE:To enable to control while confirming the attracted condition of paper by providing a forward-backward control knob engaged with the first attracting device rotatably supported in an inside hole of a transverse control knob, in a paper feeder of a sheet fed type printing press or the like. CONSTITUTION:The angle of inclination of the first attracting device 25 at the start of operation is controlled as follows. When the machine is operated and the transverse control knob 41 is rotated while observing the attracted condition, the forward-backward control 43 performs an eccentric motion under the eccentricity between the outside peripheral part of the knob 41 and the inner hole 40. Then, a grip part 42 of the knob 43 is rotated, whereby a nut 47 engaged with a screw part 44 is moved forwards and backwards and the device 25 is oscillated to control the inclination in the forward-backward direction. Consequently, when the paper 22 is attracted upward by the suction port 34, the paper is moved in accordance with the inclination so that its position to the second attracting device is corrected and it is brought into tension by stretching in the width direction. Accordingly, the inclination of the paper can be controlled rapidly and appropriately. |
