PURPOSE:To simplify structure, and to enhance durability of a single-pole DC machine by a method wherein a permanent magnet is equipped on the rotor side, an armature conductor to face with the magnetic pole face of the permanent magnet is fixed to an outside frame, and a current is made to flow in the direction right-angled to the direction of magnetic field in a gap and to the rotational direction of the rotor. CONSTITUTION:The disk type or cylindrical type permanent magnet 21 to form single-pole magnetic field is equipped to the rotor 23 side, and the disk type or cylindrical type armature conductor 27 to face with the magnetic pole face of the permanent magnet 21 thereof interposing the gap 40 between them is fixed to the outside frame 24. The current is made to flow in the armature conductor 27 through lead wires 30, 31 in the right-angled direction to the direction of magnetic field in the gap and to the rotational direction of the rotor 23. By constituting the machine by this way, in spite of the machine is the DC machine, a commutator and brushes can be omitted, and current direction change-over mechanism to take the place of the commutator is also unnecessitated. |
