PURPOSE:To suppress the vibration of the rotor and prevent the rotor from generating the noise at braking by a method wherein the structure of the rotor is rendered to be asymmetrical to the center of rotation with a spiral bar sealed by casing in the disc rotor for a disc brake. CONSTITUTION:The disc brake performs braking as follows: i.e. an inner side pad 3 is pressed against the one side surface of the disc rotor 1 by means of a piston equipped within a caliper 4, an outer side pad 3 is pressed against the other side surface of said disc rotor 1 through a caliper jaw by means of the sliding movement of the caliper 4 supporting by supports 2 caused by the reaction of the above-mentioned pressing of the inner side pad 3 are against the one side surface of the disc rotor 1. Now, the spiral bar 5 is sealed inside said rotor 1 so as to be asymmetrical to the center of rotation. In this case, said bar 5 is cast inside the rotor 1 simultaneously with the diecast molding of the rotor 1 and contrived, nevertheless, not to fusion-weld with the cast iron or the parent metal of the rotor 1. |
