The device verifies the tolerances in the shape and position of industrial products. The device comprises two reference planes from which all measurements to be taken on the product's surfaces are done, irrespective of the shape and orientation of these surfaces. One reference plane is the horizontal base on which the reference surface of the product rests. The other plane is defined by the lower surface of a ruler which can be moved vertically and rotated. The tolerances are read from the ruler's lower surface by two sensors (28,29) moving along the ruler's lower surface and fitted with a comparator (31).
