发明名称 DETECTOR FOR WIDTH AND ZIGZAG MOVEMENT OF LAMINAR OBJECT
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a detector which is resistant to disturbances such as vibration and dusts and has a wide measuring range for width of a laminar object, by a method wherein, in the detection of the width and zigzag movement of the laminar object, a projector for width of the laminar object, reference projectors, and collectors are mounted appropriately. CONSTITUTION:A projector 12 for width of a laminar object is placed below a laminar object 10 to be conveyed and in a direction crossing a conveyance direction at right angles, and reference projectors 13 are located at opposite ends thereof. Each of the irradiation ports 11 and 14 of the projectors faces upward. Light collectors 16 provided with photoelectric elements 15 having their respective numbers of bits are predetermined so that their light collecting areas are overlapped at a central position. Because, the irradiation ports 14 are positioned in the approximately same level as that of a conveyance line, dusts are made to be difficult to enter. Additionally, the plural number of the light collectors are mounted, thereby a light collecting area is prevented from deviating to cover a conveyance path even if the collector inclines due to vibration. The overlapping of the light collecting areas allows to perform sufficient detection even if a laminar object with a narrow width being less than a half a conveying device is conveyed in an one-sided manner.
