<p>On a textile winding machine, where a support bobbin (6) may be mounted detachably between side plates (8,9), rotating on a support element (11,12), one side plate (9) is provided with a hook (17) projecting towards the bobbin. The outer edge of the hook comes into contact with the surface of the bobbin when the bobbin is placed on the side plate. A reliable method of starting up winding yarn on a support bobbin is achieved, with the production of a reserve 'tail.' The drawing shows a standard spinning head (1), fed with a fibre roving, (2) and transforming this into the yarn (3). This is carried forward by the delivery rollers (4,5) and wound on to the support bobbin (6) which is driven to rotate by the winding machine roller (7). The support bobbin (6), comprising a cardboard or plastic tube, is held in place by two side plates (8,9) mounted on support arms (11,12). A suction nozzle (12) holds the yarn during bobbin change. The side plate rests on a ball race to ensure shock-free rotation, and is provided with a hook (17) lying in such a way as to rest on the support bobbin.</p> |
