Cage type screw nut for metal sheet - has elastic plates bearing on underside of sheet tightening grip during screw driving

The fixing cage has a base (1) with a threaded hole (3) in the centre and beneath these there are two elastic plates (4,5) that are introduced into a square orifice in the metal that forms the support for the fixing. As the screwing operation takes place the elastic pieces diverge towards the outside giving the cage a solid seat in the square hole. Parts of the base project above the square hole in the support and they contain small claws (16,17) which are alternatively folded up on the long side (16) and down on the short side (17).
