In inductor coils, the iron cores are normally composed of laminate stacks (2) which are arranged one above the other in the axial direction with gaps, are in the form of discs and are composed of sheet-metal laminates. According to the invention, the laminate stacks consist of laminate sectors in order to achieve radial lamination, which laminate sectors are produced from a strip which is bent around bending edges parallel to the axis and whose width is equal to the height of the laminate stack (2), every other bending edge resting on the outer sheath of the laminate stack (2) and the other bending edges lying in a radial plane which in each case bounds a laminate sector (5). Radially laminated laminate stacks (2) produced in accordance with the invention can be used advantageously in inductors having high rated powers, ensuring very low additional losses with very good operating reliability at the same time. <IMAGE>
