PURPOSE:To obtain a silver peroxide battery having excellent shelf life and electrolyte leakage resistance by using a positive black mix obtained by molding silver peroxide with a metal current collector, and an electrolyte obtained by adding a stabilizer such as cadmium into an alkaline solution. CONSTITUTION:A positive black mix 8 comprising silver peroxide powder and a binder such as polytetrafluoroethylene powder is press-molded with a metal current collector comprising a stainless steel net (a), a flat ring (b), an L-shape ring (c), a stainless steel not and L-shape ring (d), and a stainless steel net and flat ring (e). An alkaline solution containing cadmium and tellurium, or cadmium and tellurium plus at least one ingredient selected from lead, mercury, thallium, germanium, yttrium, tin, tungsten, lanthanum, rare earth elements, zinc, selenium, aluminum is used as an alkaline electrolyte and absorbed in an electrolyte absorbent material 11. |
