Transfer apparatus for powered supports

The invention relates to an apparatus for transferring completely assembled powered supports (1) from a roadway (3) to the installation point (E) in a rise heading (2) or at a longwall face. The powered supports (1) are loaded at the bottom end of the rise heading (2) or the longwall face onto a walking-mechanism transporter (7) which moves them on a rail (6) in the rise heading (2) or at the longwall face to a swivelling and positioning unit (8) which is displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the rise heading (2) or the longwall face and can be secured locally. By means of the swivelling and positioning unit (8), the powered supports (1) are swivelled to the intended location in the rise heading (2) or at the longwall face and are braced there. Completely assembled powered supports (1) can be transported from the roadway (3) to the installation point (E) and set there by means of this transfer apparatus while largely eliminating manual activity. <IMAGE>
