PURPOSE:To achieve signal reception/transmission surely even at tail-swinging state of a traveling device, by arranging a laser transmitter at a fixed side in an automatic warehouse system. CONSTITUTION:An operating pulse is transmitted to a traveling device 1 superimposed on a laser beam 11 from a transmitter 10 installed at a fixed side 3. The operating pulse detected at a receiver 12 makes the designation of an outgoing address of an objective section containing space, a cycle of inventory and delivery and a home position. At a failure of the traveling device 1, a signal corresponding to the power supply already applied and the possible transmission and reception respectively is outputted from a generator 9. Thus, a modulating screen 8 intermittently interrupts a laser beam 7 and pulses of each state is applied to a receiver 6. |
