<p>Apparatus (1) for treating dust-containing gases in a conditioning and absorption tower having a vertical passage (2), through which the hot gases flow from top to bottom at the same time as they are sprayed with liquid or slurry (6) in the upper region of the tower. According to the invention, the tower interior is equipped with a flexible liner (7), preferably a plastic film in hollow cylindrical form, which is suspended in the upper tower region and hangs downwards freely and is held tight by a weight (10) at the bottom. This liner forms the essential part of the gas passage through the tower and together with the inner side of the tower exterior wall (17) encloses an encircling gap (12), into which gap conditioning air can be introduced via a connection piece (11), in particular in pulsed form, in order to transmit peristaltic movements to the liner and thus to dislodge even minor dust deposits from the inner side of the liner. <IMAGE></p> |
