<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a ceramic board-like decorative sheet having a reticulated crack pattern, by applying film-forming thermoplastic resin or the like to a substrate, further applying starch paste to the resin-applied surface, drying the coating layer to form cracks, and then removing the starch layer. CONSTITUTION:The solution or emulsion of film-forming thermoplastic resin is applied to a substrate 11, e.g. a metal plate or a glass plate, which has an untreated surface or a directly print or pattern-applied surface, to form a base coat 12. A starch paste solution is applied to the base coat to form a crack layer. The crack layer is dried to properly form cracks 13 in the crank layer and the base coat 12. Thereafter, the crack layer is removed by washing it with water, and then the base coat 12 is redried and cured to obtain a desired decorative sheet.</p> |
