.alpha.-Azolyl-.beta.-hydroxy-ketones of the formula in which R1 represents optionally substituted alkyl or optionally substituted phenyl, R2 represents the grouping -CX1X2R3 or alkoxycarbonyl, R3 represents halogen, halogenoalkyl or optionally substituted phenyl, X1 and X2, which may be identical or different, each represents hydrogen or halogen, and Y represents a nitrogen atom or the CH group, or physiologically acceptable acid-addition salts or metal-salt complexes thereof which possess fungicidal properties.
