PURPOSE:To offer the titled miniaturizable improved-safety press which can lower base rigidity to the minimal necessity and easily set press power, by independently arranging each of a metal die-pressing means and a metal die-opening or closing means. CONSTITUTION:The opening or closing means 25 of a metal die device 11 provided with lower and upper die elements 15, 18 of which can be freely separated from or clamped with the other is independently arranged from the pressing means 32 of the metal die device 11. Several pressing means 32 are arranged at the periphery of a dome 16 with the same distribution. An engaging part is attached to each pressing means 32, and freely coupled with or separated from a part 33, to be engaged, formed in the dome 16. Each pressing means 32 is also provided with a vertical press rod 40 through a coupling screw means at the side of a base 12. In addition, a hydraulic drive body 50 to vertically helically carry the press rod up and down and aother hydraulic drive body 58 to rotate the engaging part of the press rod 40 around its axis for disengagement are arranged to each pressing means 32. |
