PURPOSE:To offer the titled miniaturizable press which can lower base rigidity to the minimal necessity and obtain reliable strong pressing power, by arranging a specified metal die-pressing means provided with a power-doubling mechanism independently from a metal die-opening or closing means. CONSTITUTION:A piston 57 is raised by action of a pressure medium from the boat 60 of the cylinder 53 of a metal die-pressing means to extend a piston rod 58, so that a swing arm 51 is set at angular displacement theta through a knuckle pin 54. The swing arm 51 is telescoped and fixed onto the shaft portion 41 of an eccentric horizontal shaft 38, and a press rod 46 is telescoped onto the eccentric horizontal shaft 38 so that the press rod 46 can be freely relatively rotated. The press rod 46, being influenced by the power-doubling function of the swing arm 51 or the like, is pushed down and affected by the elstically pulling power of a tension spring 63. An engaging part 47 at the upper part of the press rod 46 is coupled with a part 50, to be engaged, formed in a dome 16, so that a metal die device can be assuredly held under a pressurized condition. |
