The heat exchanger is assembled between two sheets (1,2) by pressing all the edges and also at certain points over the sheet surfaces. At two opposite ends of the assembly (9,10) is ducting to introduce fluid between the two sheets and for emptying the fluid. On assembly, a liquid is injected between the two sheets under pressure to cause the plastes to be moved apart, but without exceeding their elastic limit. The assembly has a protective seal coating on the internal and external faces.
