PURPOSE:The titled composition that is prepared by adding benzimidazole, salicylamide and isoquinoline anthelmintics to a macrolide antibiotic, thus increasing its effect synergetically and being used to infections by nematodes or the like without side-effects such as intoxation. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprises (A) at least one selected from macrolide antibiotics such as B-41 antibiotics of formulaIand II, C-076 antibiotics of formula III, and 22,23-dihydro-C-076 derivatives and (B) at least one selected from a benzimidazole anthelmintic such as 2-(methoxycarbonylamino) benzimidazole, a salicylamide one such as 5-chloro-N-(2-chloro-4-nitrophenyl) salicylamide and an isoquinoline one such as an isoquinoline of formula IV. The resultant composition develops its effect against nematodes and tape worms in a less dose than the necessary dose, when one of these anthelmintics is applied alone. |
