It solves the problem of removing samples from deposits, which are insoluble in water and are located on the base of the secondary part of steam generators, with the aid of a device which can be fitted on the primary side of the tube base of the steam generator, can be operated by remote control and has a motor-driven milling head (9), which can be remotely adjusted axially and is intended for loosening the deposit material, and a suction device (34, 35) for collecting this material.
