PURPOSE:To realize the production of error to an arbitrary bit location of data with error correction code with less hardware, by interpreting the error bit location from a syndrome and inverting one-bit data corresponding to the error bit location. CONSTITUTION:The value of syndrome is different from the error bit, and when the value of mode instruction FF5 instructs the selection of output of a syndrome producing circuit 2 to a switching circuit 4, an inverting data production circuit 6 points out the error bit location and inverts the bit location data corresponding to a data register 1, allowing to correct one-bit error. On the other hand, a correct data with error correction code is set to the data register 1, one of syndrome values is set to a false syndrome register 3 and the FF5 instructs the selection of the false syndrome register output, then one bit error is obtained at the circuit 6. Thus, the production of error can be realized with less hardware. |
