PURPOSE:To shorten the time to grind and raise work efficiency in grinding a disc used for manufacturing directly line shaped or band shaped fibers or foils from molten material by grinding peripheral projecting lines on the disc with the disc set in a fiber manfacturing device. CONSTITUTION:A disc 1 is rotated in the direction of the arrow mark A with a fiber manufacturing device kept in the state of setting, and a projecting line of a grinding roll 3 is positioned to match a projecting line 2 that is worn and made on the outer peripheral face of the disc and a grinding roll 3 is pressed hard to contact the disc 1 by a suitable force in the direction of the arrow mark B, and the tip of the projecting line 2 of the disc 1 that has rounded face with wear is ground and corrected without developing burr to make the line sharp. After this correction, the disc 1 is at once utilized to manufacture fibers. |
