PURPOSE:To maintain treatment reaction at a high rate over the entire period of refining in an injection system by regulating the blowing rates of a refining agent and a carrier gas and the immersion depth of a lance. CONSTITUTION:A desulfurizing agent is blown through an immersion lance 2 into the molten metal in a torpede car 1 by means of a carrier gas with a powder and granule transfer device 3. At this time, the oscillations of the lance 2 measured momentarily with a vibrometer 6 fitted to the lance 2 are recorded in a display device 8 through a frequency selector 7. According to the change in the oscillation waveforms displayed in the device 8, regulating valves 4, 5 are controlled to regulate the blowing rates of the desulfurizing agent and the carrier gas as well as their solid/gas ratio; at the same time, the lance 2 is adjusted to the immersion depth at which the efficiency of reaction is best by using a lance elevating installation 9. Thereby, the out-of-furnace treatment efficiency of molten metal is improved considerably. |
