PURPOSE:To form an electrode system for electrochemical measurement which is excellent in resistance, and besides, is resistant to shock, by a method wherein a working electrode, in which an aperture, closed off with a porous material, is formed, is placed so that it is positioned at the boundary between an internal electrolyte and liquid to be measured. CONSTITUTION:An aperture 12 of about 2mm. in diameter is formed in a center of a precious metal sheet such as platinum sheet, and a porous material 13, for example, polycarbonate film wherein a large number of apertures with a diameter of about 0.4mu, is securely adhered so as to ocver the aperture 12 to form a working electrode 11. Said working electrode 11 is attached to the bottom of an electrode system side wall 3, elecrrolyte 5 is implanted into a vessel formed, and a reference electrode 7 and an opposite electrode 8 are immersed in the electrolyte 5 to form an electrode system. Said electrode system is immersed in liqud 2 to be measured, and is sued in a way to bring the working electrode 11 into contact with the liquid 2 to be measured. |
