PURPOSE:To prevent dirtying by toner and to eliminate scattering toner, by arranging a permanent magnet which produces a magnetic field in a space, where recording paper passes, near a flash irradiation part. CONSTITUTION:Under a flash lamp 1, recording paper carrying magnetic material toner is fed as shown by an arrow 4 of an alternate long and short dashes line to perform fixation. An air suction device 5 right under a glass plate 3 has many air inlet perforations, and a permanent magnet 5a is arranged in its thickness direction; and another permanent magnet 7 is provided at the entrance side of a fixation space right under the glass plate, and a reflecting plate 2 is provided with one more permanent magnet 8. Magnetic fields established by the permanent magnets 5a and 7 attract the magnetic material toner on the recording paper, but are small enough not to move the toner in the carriage direction. Then, floating toner is attracted and collected to the permanent magnets 5a, 7 and 8 before the recording paper arrives. |
