The drive cylinder uses the potential energy of a liquid under pressure in a reservoir. It has two hollow shells which are sealed together within which turns a rotor. This is held in the liquid flow with two hinged pistons engaged by the liquid. There can be a duct in the interior cylinder formed by the shells forming a liquid chamber. There can also be two cut-outs in the interior face of the chamber to allow retraction of two flap valves.
