The grape picking machine comprises an inverted U-shaped frame (1) which has a pivoting arm (17,18) mounted on the free end of each limb. A brush in the form of a series of flexible strips is supported by each arm and these brushes (14,15) are rotated by a chain (9) and pulley (5,6) drive. An auxiliary U-shaped frame (21-23) is supported by a second pair of pivoting arms (19,20). The lower ends of the limbs of the frame extend below and between the brushes and support shoes (24,25) which keep the brushes a certain distance apart to prevent them from damaging the plants.
