PURPOSE:To reduce backlash of a coupling part of a car height detector and a link, and to prevent immoderate force from being put on the car height detector, by supporting the car height detector body by an elastic member which can be expanded and contracted in the axial direction but is not twisted easily against a rotation centering around the axis. CONSTITUTION:On the base of the static part of a potentiometer 4 constituting a body of a car height detector, the tip of a synthetic resin cylinder 5 which can be expanded and contracted in the axial direction by being notched like a link alternately on both the outer side and the inner side, but has large resistance against a twist centering around the axis is tightly fixed by a nut 6 to a cylinder provided with an outer screw, for guiding the rotating shaft. A lower end flange of the cylinder 5 is tightly fixed to a supporting base 1 with screws 111- 113. The rotating shaft of the potentiometer 4 is inserted into a hole of the tip of a relay shaft 7, is tightly fixed to the relay shaft 7 with a cylindrical pin 9, and no movement nor backlash is generated against the rotating direction. Also, no immoderate force is put on the potentiometer 4. |
