PURPOSE:To enable promoting of fuel atomization upon starting and accelerating after starting by opening the starting nozzle of a starting fuel system at the downstream of a throttle valve on the float chamber side, in the carbureter having a main fuel system and a low-speed fuel system. CONSTITUTION:Upon driving of a starting heater, a throttle valve 9 is opened in a first idle opening degree, and is controlled in a predetermined quantity by a gaseous mixture control valve 10 from a main nozzle 14, an idle port 24, and a bypass port 25 through main and low-speed fuel passages 13 and 17. Simultaneously, the starting fuel is supplied in optimum manner at the gaseous mixture control valve 11, from a starting nozzle 26 through a starting fuel passage 21. Since the nozzle 26 is opened at the downstream on the side of the float chamber 4, the quantity of passing air increases and pulverization of the fuel is performed excellently. However, since the throttle valve shaft 3 is eccentrically supported, the quantity of passing air is large and pulverization is promoted.
