PURPOSE:To prevent burr of cut end face, wear of upper cutting edge and to improve productivity by holding a work with a holding member elastically supported to a trim lower die and a holding member fixed to an upper die, and thereby giving tension to the cut part. CONSTITUTION:When a ram 1 goes down, a pad 2 comes into elastic contact with a work 4 on a punch 3 to press it. At the same time, the blank part 4a of the work 4 is held and fixed by an upper holding member 13 and a lower holding member 14. When the ram 1 goes down further, an elastic body 15 is deformed by compression and stretches the material to some extent giving tension to the cut part of the work 4. Then, stretched material is cut by an upper cutting edge 5a of a die 5 and a lower cutting edge 3a of the punch 3 to trim the work 4. At this time, tension of the edge of the work 4 is released and the material is restored. The cut end face is drawn to the punch 3 side to some degree and a clearance delta is formed between the cut end face and upper cutting edge. Consequently, friction between the cut end face and upper cutting edge 5a at the time of ascent of the ram 1 can be prevented. |
