Composition which contains, in an epoxide resin, 15 to 45 % by volume of resin-walled hollow microspheres and a densifying agent in sufficient volume for the acoustic impedance of the composition to be between 1.1 ô 10<6> and 1.9 ô 10<6> kg/m<2> s. The densifying agent is, for example, lead oxide. The composition is employed as a binder for piezoelectric ceramic elements. Application to sonar transducers.
