Process for producing single or double domes or shrouds for zenithal lighting, airing, ventilation and for fire protection as well as means for carrying out the process and products produced by it. The invention is characterised in that, after the thermoforming of only the dome, independent profile elements (24, 25; 26 and 27) are arranged on the periphery with regard to each side of the said dome, which profile elements form a connecting frame (C) and are adapted in such a way to provide in the interior and on their base first of all a soft seal (29) and then a sealing and bonding paste (30), whereupon the said profiled elements are brought towards one another with regard to the sides of the dome for the formation of a closed frame (C), bonding itself by the said paste (30), and then certain fundamental parts of the frame are connected, for example by welding. <IMAGE>
