PURPOSE:To provide a holding mechanism functioning in such a way as to unlock the adjuster mechanism by interlocking with forward falling of a back and to lock it again when the seat is moved to a certain position, in a seat adjuster which is suitably applied to the intermediate seat which is arranged between the front and rear seats. CONSTITUTION:When a back of the intermediate seat falls forward, a rocking member 48 which forms a holding mechanism 4 through a cable 46 by interlocking with the forward falling is rocked counterclockwise, and a latch member 34 of an adjuster mechanism 3 is moved downward through a follower member 49. Then, when the seat is moved rearward by sliding a moving rail 22, the follower member 49 is moved upward in such a way that its long leg 52 goes around on by engaging through the forward incline 41 with the top part 44. And when a short leg 51 is disengaged by being drawn out of the engaging hole 33 of the latch member 34, the latch member 34 goes ahead upward, and the seat is tightly fixed resulting from being a locked condition by means that a engaging pawl 32 is engaged with an engaging hole 23. |
