PURPOSE:To perform contactless transmission between two approximated rotary bodies, by periodically arranging magnetic poles of permanent magnets circumferentially of the rotary body. CONSTITUTION:Two magnetic cylinder 1, 2 are circumferentially magnetized alternately with N and S poles at an equal space, magnetically coupled through an air gap d and rotatably placed about each of their axes 3, 4. When the magnetic cylinder 1 is rotated in the direction of an arrow head A1, as shown by full line, the cylinder 2 can be rotated to the direction of an arrow head A2 as shown by a dotted line through the coupling between magnetic poles of the magnetic cylinders 1, 2. |
