The invention relates to a braking arrangement. According to the invention, it is constructed in such a way that it comprises a fixed component (9), a movable component (2), a brake lining (1), means for displacing the brake lining having essentially a piston (4) on the thrust piece (3) movable in the piston by screwing as well as a self-releasing lock (15, 19) in order to hold the thrust piece in a predetermined position. The invention is employed, in particular, for compensating the clearance of the brake lining in disc brakes. <IMAGE>
