PURPOSE:To realize double printing for a printer of raster scanning system, by performing the printing after forming a double printing pattern on a video buffer equivalent to one line. CONSTITUTION:A character generating circuit 10 produces the character pattern information based on the code information 8 given from an external device and supplies it to a video buffer 11. Thus the desired character pattern information is written into the buffer 11. The external device feeds the code information on the code of an underline 6 as well as the code about a slash code 7 to a printer in accordance with the position of each character. The circuit 10 produces the corresponding code pattern information based on the code information and writes it double on the buffer 11. The external device feeds the code information showing a line feed code to the printer after transmitting the code information. A line feed code discriminating circuit 9 detects the line feed code and commands the start of the readout to the buffer 11. As a result, a serial video signal 12 is delivered with every raster and the printing equivalent to one line is carried out by a print head. |
