PURPOSE:To reduce the size of an injection blow molding machine by a method wherein a blow mold and an opening-closing mechanism for the mold can be moved in the vertical direction, while the two are moved upwards at the time of blow molding and are moved downwards at the time of transferring a parison. CONSTITUTION:When a neck mold 6, 6 is located at its stop position and the parison 17 is being molded in an injection molding part A, the blow mold 20, 20 is moved upwards by a cylinder 28 together with the opening-closing mechanism, 19, 19 placed on a base plate 18 up to the position where the mold 20, 20 is mated with the neck mold 6, 6. Next, the mold is closed by the mechanism 19, 19, and a blow-molding core 30, 30 is lowered so that the parison 17 is molded to become a blow-molded article 35. Then, the blow mold 20, 20 is opened, while the article 35 is held by the neck mold 6, 6. Thus, the blow mold and the opening-closing mechanism for the mold are moved upwards at the time of blow molding and they are lowered at the time of transferring the parison. |
