PURPOSE:To prevent exfoliation of coating of surface insulating treatment and partial deformation of a band iron plate by enlarging contact angle of a band iron plate to a tension roller, and increasing tension. CONSTITUTION:By operation of an oscillating cylinder, frictional force F is generated due to pressure between a band iron plate 7 and a tension roller 15a by a pressure roller 21 and a tension roller 14a. Since the band iron plate 7 makes winding contact to the tension roller 14a at contact angle theta1 reaction to the frictional force F increases. Similarly, tension rollers 14b-14f and the band iron plate have contact angles theta2-theta6. Tension rollers 14a-14f are connected to an electromagnetic brake engaging with each other by gears 16a-16f and 17a- 17b. Accordingly, tension is controlled freely by applying desired current to the electromagnetic brake, and obtaining optional brake torque. |
