PURPOSE:To provide the titled stabilizer that gives a white color tone to a synthetic rubber and restrains changes in its color tone during storage, by combining a water-soluble polycondensate between dicyandiamide and aldehydes with phenol-containing and/or phosphorus-containing stabilizers. CONSTITUTION:A reaction product of dicyandiamide with acids such as HCl, H2SO4 and HNO3 or ammonium salts of the acids is condensed with aldehydes at 80-100 deg.C to form a water-soluble polycondensate having a molecular weight of hundreds to several hundred thousands. Subsequently, 100pts.wt. synthetic rubber is blended with a mixture of the above-mentioned water-soluble polycondensate and a phenol-containing stabilizer (e.g. styrenated phenol) and/or a phosphorus-containing stabilizer (e.g. nonylphenyl phosphite) in a ratio of 0.0001-5/0.01-5 (pts.wt.). |
