PURPOSE:To reduce the loss of coal due to scattering by keeping the amount of produced slag constant, by providing a slag reserve furnace in the main body of a gasifying furnace to continuously discharge slag. CONSTITUTION:Coal, O2 and steam are blown through a non-immersed lance 7 into a molten iron bath 8 in the main body 1 of a gasifying furnace. Produced gas is introduced through a furnace port via a duct 6 into a gas holder. Slag 9 together with part of the produced gas which is forcibly sucked through the gas sucking port 10 of a slag reserve furnace 3, is introduced through a slag passage 2 into the reserve furnace 3. Slag 9 introduced into the reserve furnace 3 is continuously discharged through a slide gate 12 provided at a slag-discharging port to the outside, while circulating through a circulating passate 5 between the main body 1 and the reserve furnace 3 by means of an electromagnetic pump 11 to lag slag with the iron bath 8. EFFECT:Clean gas contg. no contaminant can be obtd. without generating SOx by reacting coal blown into the furance directly with O2. |
