PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of an apparatus and improve the efficiency of piling work by piling work by lifting up a bar material transported by a chain conveyer from below, and then moving same in the longitudinal direction to be piled up. CONSTITUTION:When a predetermined number of bar materials A are arranged on a conveyer 1, a group of bar materials A are placed on a feed unit 6 by square movement of the feed unit 6. While the feed unit 6 is restored to the initial position, the bar materials A group is fed out in the direction of (b) by rotation of (a) directin of a roller 7, and the rotation of endless chains 10 in a pile-up mechanism 8 forces the bar materials A group to be put on a placing portion comprising horizontal rods 15 which are disposed at suitable intervals between the chains 10, 10. When the end of the bar material A is stopped by a stopper 16 and the placing portion passes by the bar materials A group, the bar materials A group drops to be placed on a pallet B. This pallet B is descended step by step through a receiving table 17 at every fall of bar materials A group. Thus, piling-up can be accomplished in the same manner. |
