PURPOSE:To achieve a continuous measurement without observing blood, by closely putting together a detection part to the surface of human skin directly and irradiating a prescribed wavelength laser beam to the detection part in said condition. CONSTITUTION:A detection part 16 is made by removing a clad 14 formed an optical fiber 10 and exposing a core 12. By irradiating a gaseous carbon dioxide laser beam 100 to thus formed fiber 10 and measuring by pushing the part 16 to a muscous membrane tissue 18 such as lips, the beam 100 is penetrated very little only in the depth proportional to its wavelength in the tissue 18 put closely together to the core 12 directly at the part 16, and is totally reflected. An absorption spectrum at this time is measured by a detector. |
