PURPOSE:To eliminate feedback distortion to a high frequency band for a luminance signal having the lower side band component in the modulated component of the space sampling carrier of a chrominance component, by using a fresh solid image pickup element and a color filter. CONSTITUTION:A pulse generating circuit 12 supplies driving pulses phiH and phiC to an image pickup element 11, which is driven; and it also supplies a sampling pulse Po to the element 11 and an S.H circuit 13, which generates three-phase color signal outputs of signals SYL, SG and SM. The color signal outputs are supplied to S.H circuits 14-17. The S.H circuit 14 generates a signal Sx with which the color signals SYL and SM are obtained alternately, and this signal Sx is supplied to a luminance-signal generating circuit 18. The circuit 18 supplies the signal Sx to an adder 181 and a delay circuit 182 to generate a signal SXD delayed by one horizontal period. The delay signal SXD is supplied to an HPF 183 to extract its high frequency component, which is supplied to the adder 181 to be added to the signal Sx. |
