PURPOSE:A silica source, an alumina source, an alkali source and an aliphatic acid are mixed and cause the reaction to produce a zeolite having high performance as an adsorbent and catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A silica source, an alumina source, an alkali source and an aliphatic acid or its derivative are mixed at following molar ratio SiO2/AlO3 is 5-500; H2O/SiO2 is 5-100; OH<->/SiO2 is 0.01-1.0 and A/Al2O3 is 0.1-200 to prepare an aqueous mixture for reaction. The resultant slurry is subjected to reaction in a tightly sealed vessel at 80-250 deg.C for five hours to 30 days to effect crystallization. Thus, a crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite with three-dimensional network structure is readily obtained.
