PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic bearing which possesses advantages for both heterogeneous diametral contraposition and identical diametral contraposition in such a way that one of the yokes on the stationary side is arranged catercorner, and it is brought to be put homodiametrally opposite to a yoke on the revolving side. CONSTITUTION:There are yokes 2, 3 on the stationary side in close contact with the both poles of a permanent magnet 1 which has been magnetized in the radial direction attracted to a stationary member 10. The yokes 2, 2 on the stationary side are embedded in an electric conductive member 4 which has high permeability. A yoke 5 on the revolving side in sectionally concave shape which is opposite to the yokes 2, 3 is fixed on a revolving body 6. Magnetic gap is situated at a distance t in the thrust direction between the yokes 2, 3 on the stationary side and the yoke 5 on the revolving side. The yoke 2 on the stationary side possesses a large spring constant in the radial direction because one end side is installed catercorner and its tip parts are in the same shape, and damping coefficient which is an advantage of heterogeneous diametral contraposition can be enlarged because one of the yokes on the stationary side is installed catercorner. |
